Introduction to an Abstract Mind
6th Grade Boys
My first steps to teaching abstract was learning the names of my students. In this lesson I challenged the bright minds to use every letter of their name and leave no empty space. Encouraging to think outside of the box, there is no correct way to create art. The students have the creative freedom to write thier name upside down, backwards, colorful, or even monochromatic. Once each student had a concept down on their canvas, we went in with water color. I believe for me to successfully learn the creative minds of BHA students, I will start by pushing their creative boundaries. - Elena Loviea
